The Nissen hut at HMS Owl was originally built in 1940 by the RAF. The Owl is a family home which took five five years to restore and has been featured on TV and in numerous design publications. HMS Owl is pretty special, as is the restored Nissen which is peaceful, warm and a very easy place to stay. It has some great touches. The bedroom is a large comfy kingsize and there is a hand-built generous sized bunk bed (the lower bunk is a single bed, the upper is a child’s size). The Nissen hut can accommodate a family easily (or travelling friends if you don't mind sharing the bedroom space). The living space is very a generous 10mx5m.
