Things to do

Scotland is a walker’s paradise and, almost everywhere you go, there are marked trails, ranging from short walks to long-distance treks. For the more adventurous amongst you, there’s a whole range of challenging climbs to choose from. And if you haven’t been mountain biking in Scotland before, you’ve been missing a treat.

The country’s lochs, rivers and coastal waters not only provide fishermen with ample opportunity to cast their line, they’re also ideal for water sports of all kinds, from surfing, sailing and scuba diving to windsurfing, waterskiing, canoeing and white water rafting.

And if you’re into golf, you’ll be in heaven! You’ll find a range of golf courses to suit all abilities, whether you’re looking to experience the championship courses of Tain or Dornoch, or prefer something a little less demanding. Many clubs run open competitions throughout the summer and all offer visitors a very warm welcome. Of course, you’d expect nothing else from the home of golf!

In a nutshell, Scotland is all about playing in the great outdoors and we have a whole range of sporting activities here for your enjoyment, including walking, climbing, cycling, fishing, golfing, canoeing, and sailing. Plus a few more besides.
